We have been working on CiteDrive 3.0, a complete revision of the previous version. We are happy to announce that a new version is coming soon! Here’s some information about the changes to give you an idea. CiteDrive 3.0 will primarily appeal to R Markdown and Quarto users and is fully collaborative, 100% user-centric, and 100% Bib[La]TeX ready.

Here are some improvements:

  • We bring reference management to R Markdown.
  • New UI and Dark Mode
  • Full BibLaTeX support
  • Better collision control and data cleaning for BibTeX entries.
CiteDrive 3.0 with a BibLaTeX project for Overleaf

CiteDrive grew out of the collective input of our team, our friends, and other academics that managing citations feels so unwieldy compared to today’s consumer and collaborative editing tools. Worse yet, there aren’t reasonable solutions for those writing LaTeX, not just an afterthought. After some initial failed experiments, the first end-to-end experience focused on Overleaf users was tested in the fall of 2021 and quickly evolved into the platform today. At CiteDrive, we have been relentlessly concentrating on perfecting and simplifying citation discovery and the experience of citing as you write. After some initial failed experiments, the first end-to-end experience focused on Overleaf users was tested in the fall of 2021 and quickly evolved into the platform today.
